Winter Break Activities for Teenagers

It seems odd to have the words vacation and education in the same sentence.  For teenagers, March Break is seen as a time to relax, hang out with friends, and forget about learning.   On the other hand, parents struggle to find activities to keep their teenagers busy.  Here are three educational based activities which you can do with your teenagers:

• Visit local museums – Local museums generally offer workshops and activities for teens during the March Break.
• Play board games – Board games can also be educational.  Many board games involve reading, memorization, deductive reasoning, and economic skills.
• Watch movies – Surprisingly movies can also be educational.  Select movies which are based on literary works or have an historical reference.

Educational activities during March Break do not have to be boring – instead, these activities should incorporate fun.  The best way to identify these activities is to find out what your teens enjoy doing.
