Paul Rosen – The Initial Assessment
Each new enrolment at Grade Learning begins with an Initial Assessment. The assessment is a vital first step in creating an academic program that suits the new student’s needs and goals.
Paralympic sledge hockey gold medalist Paul Rosen came to Grade Learning with the goal of improving his reading and writing skills through a Specialized Training program. At 50, he reads and writes at an elementary level. He is on a journey to change that. This blog post documents Paul’s academic assessment – in his own words.
“I was driving to the assessment and was very nervess to me I would rathor play in front of 10,000 people then be there. I got there at 10 AM and met Margaret she started to ask me lot’s of questions about English and spelling, I was scared to death.
After this test was over she told me how I did and I felt good about myself. She told me I was smart and I never heard that before. She told me that they could help me with my reading and writing.”
